Hologic Warehouse Wythenshawe

Warehouse storage/distribution facility on the client’s existing site in Wythenshawe, Manchester.

Challenge

The project required the design of all the services, and the reconfiguring of the site’s electrical supplies, including a loading bay, 1st floor office and kitchen/WC area. The challenge was to create a cooled warehouse for the storage of testing kits and raw material supplies for the testing of medical conditions. The temperature had to be stable across the whole high bay racking system.

Solution

To ensure a stable temperature across the whole high bay racking system, the system was fitted with monitoring devices at all levels to ensure compliance of 21+/- °C throughout the height of the racking.

Outcome

As well as the successful delivery of the racking system the project also completed a new carpark and truck loading area with lighting and car charging points. Provision was also made for further potential buildings on the site.
